HiBrands ("we", "us") is a team of engineers in India that builds websites and runs SEO, social media and Google Ads for businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit hibrands.in or contact us through it.
We follow India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules on sensitive personal data, and we are aligning with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025 as they come into force.
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to send us through our forms, plus basic technical data that every website receives.
- We use it to reply to you and to do the work you ask for. Nothing else.
- We never sell your information, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill in the contact form, the enquiry panel or the "Book a free call" form, we receive what you type, which can include:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your business name
- the service you're interested in, your budget range and timeline
- your message, and a time that suits you for a call
You don't have to give us anything you're not comfortable sharing. Most fields are optional; we only need a way to contact you.
Information sent automatically. Like every website, our hosting provider receives technical details when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you asked for and the time. These are kept in short-term server logs for security and to fix problems. We don't use them to identify you.
What we don't collect. We don't ask for payment card details, government ID numbers, passwords, health information or any other sensitive personal data on this website.
Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- Reply to you about your enquiry and arrange a call.
- Prepare a proposal and, if you hire us, deliver the work and send invoices.
- Keep the website safe and working, for example by spotting abuse or errors.
- Meet legal duties, such as keeping invoices for tax purposes.
We don't add you to a marketing list. If we ever want to send you updates, we'll ask first, and every message will have a way to stop them.
The legal basis is your consent when you send us a form, and our legitimate need to reply to you and to run our business.
Cookies and similar technology
This site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics.
It stores one small item in your browser's session storage so the short "Hi" greeting appears only once per visit. It is deleted when you close the tab and contains no personal information.
Our fonts and images are served from our own website, so loading a page doesn't send your details to font or image services.
Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with services that help us run the website and reply to you, and only as much as they need:
| Service | What it does for us | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosts this website | Technical data from page visits |
| Google (Workspace and Sheets) | Stores the form submissions you send us, and our email | The details you enter in our forms |
| Phone and messaging apps we use to reply (for example WhatsApp) | Lets us call or message you back | Your name and phone number, only if you gave them |
These providers may store data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on them to protect it to standards at least as strong as Indian law requires.
We may also share information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid request from a court or government authority.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become projects: up to 12 months after our last conversation, then deleted.
- Client records and invoices: as long as the law requires for accounting and tax (usually 8 years in India).
- Server logs: a few days to a few weeks, as set by our hosting provider.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to the sheets where they are stored is limited to the HiBrands team, and our accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- see the personal information we hold about you
- correct or update it
- delete it, unless we must keep it by law (for example invoices)
- withdraw your consent for us to contact you
- name someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to
Send your request to the contact details below. We'll reply as soon as we can, and always within the time the law allows.
Children
This website and our services are meant for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Links to other websites
Our projects page links to live client websites, and blog posts may link to other sites. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we're not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll put a short notice on the website.
